Juan Molina’s letter of resignation was accepted by the Mercedes City Commission during a recent special meeting.

Molina will leave the post he has held since 2005 in February.

Molina said in a statement,  his 14 years on the job were rewarding and brought him great pleasure to legally represent the city of Mercedes.
