The Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show grounds will be packed for the next 10 days.

Students from around the Valley and the state will gather to meet at the most anticipated livestock show competiton in the state to show off their farm animals for a chance to win coveted champion belt buckles or scholarships in the many farm animal divisions.

This year marks the 80th annual RGVLS family fun tradition that draws thousands of spectators and people to enjoy the guest performers from around the country, venders, canival rides and farm animals.

The event is expected to run form Aug. 6 to 17.
