Mercedes Tigers linebacker Brandon Adame earned a spot on the Whataburger Super Team for his impressive 2019 campaign. On the season he recored 200 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, four sacks and three forced fumbles.

Adame, a junior, also was selected to the first team defense by the Texas Association of Sports Editors, The Monitor’s All Area first team, and earned the Built Ford Tough player of the week durning week five for his play against district rival Edcouch-Elsa.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Whataburger teamed up to give fans the opportunity to honor the best and brightest stars in Texas high school football with the 2019 Whataburger Super Team.
