Jacob Howell helped pack up spaghetti plates, and handed them out to the community.

“We gave out about 200 meals and it was a great little event,” Howell said. “We wanted to help out the community especially in this time of need.”

Howell partnered up with the Crawfish Shack in Mercedes to offer the spaghetti plates.

“Right now is the time Mercedes needs to come together and be one family,” Howell said.

The event took place on Sunday April 5. Many people from the community lined up one after another down Vermont Avenue to pick up the Italian dish.

“The Crawfish Shack owners are great people and we teamed up with the Vallejo family and my family and it was a good time to help a lot of families ease the tension of having a good meal.”
