It didn’t take long for Brandon Adame to adjust to the safety position for the West team during the All American Bowl held at Cowboy’s Stadium.

Adame participated in nine defensive drives on defense to help the West to its 52-42 win over East.

“I had like three tackles and a pass breakup,” Adame said about his game play.

Adame was one of many area football players who was selected to participate in the prestigious contest where only the best of the best are invited to play.

“It was an awesome experience to be able to play there,” Adame said. “I grew up watching the Cowboys play there as a little kid. It was awesome to play there and walk into the lockeroom and running out of the tunnel before the game. It was an awesome experience all around.”

Adame called his participation in the All American Bowl a huge accomplishment for himself.

“Not a lot of people get to play in this game,” Adame said. “I didn’t realize I was standing on the Star during the game, but after the game when they showed me the picture it hit me that I was standing where those guys play on Sunday and its just an awesome feeling.”
