Texas Street Festival to be held in Mercedes

The Thirteenth Annual Texas Street Festival will be celebrated by The Mercedes Chamber of Commerce and the City of Mercedes featuring entertainment for the entire Rio Grande Valley community with headliners La Mafia, Solido and Jay Perez. This event will be held the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, which is September 4th, in beautiful historical downtown Mercedes, announced Mercedes Chamber of Commerce President Fred Gonzalez.
The Texas Street Festival will feature music, food, crafts and entertainment for the entire family. There are no other festivals of this type, scheduled for Labor Day weekend, in the entire Rio Grande Valley making it a unique attraction.
This one day event is free to the public. The Texas Street Festival will take place on South Texas Avenue, in historic Downtown Mercedes and the gates will open at noon with non-stop entertainment until 1a.m. Sunday.
Enjoy street vendors selling a variety of food and crafts, great food and beverages plus free carnival rides, professional wrestling and an antique car show. This family-oriented event will feature an array of musical and a culturally diverse line-up of music. The festival is a one day community event FREE to the public to attend.
