Mercedes pulls off a win at home against La Feria

MERCEDES — The Mercedes Tigers defeated the La Feria Lions 69-62 at home Tuesday night.

David Clower led the team to victory in the fourth quarter scoring eight of his 25 points down the stretch. Also scoring for the Tigers were Kemper Ledesma, 16; Joaquin Gonzales, 12; Eli Hernandez, 8; Jason Lozoya, 5; and Jacob Sauceda, 3.

La Féria started of strong with a 8-0 run but slowly Mercedes made there way to tie the game up 16-16 by second quarter.

Going into the 3rd quarter down by 10, Mercedes put pressure with a full court press and forced La Féria to some high contested shots. Mercedes slowly caught the lead and pulled through to win 69-62.
