Greetings my fellow Legionnaires, J.A. Garcia American Legion Family, Veterans, Community and our beloved City of Mercedes, Texas “one of the most patriotic little towns in the Nation”.

Dear Community,
The J.A. Garcia American Legion Post 172 would like to thank the Mercedes ISD JROTC Cadets for assisting us with Special Events and Funeral Details during their winter break. We would like to formally thank Mrs. Trevino, for allowing us to participate in the Wreaths Across America Ceremony.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Comrade Quintanilla, Martin Sr. We would like to thank Comrade Quintanilla’s family for blessing us with the opportunity to render full Military Honors. Comrade Quintanilla was a Korean War Veteran.

Operation Roof Repair is accepting donations at the Canteen and online on our GoFundMe page, check out our Facebook Page for more information.
Canteen will be Open DAILY and News Year’s Eve (except Wednesdays) for Adult Beverages and Televised Football Games!
Meat Raffle Mondays – January 2nd, 2022, at 4:30 p.m.
Fish Fry – Friday December 30th, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
*Fish Fry Fridays are back till further notice*
Next Week: Chicken Night – January 3rd, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
*Every 1st and 3rd week of the month will be Chicken Nights*
