Athletes with Mercedes ties earn college scholarships

Young athletes from around the country made their announcements of where they will be heading to play college athletics next season. Among the many, two with Mercedes roots also made their commitment official to play ball at the next level.
Jordan Gregory signed her athletic scholarship letter to play basketball for Oklahoma Christian University. She is a student at Mills HS in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Cyndi and Joe Gregory. Jordan’s grandparents are Robert and Martha Elizondo of Mercedes.
Michael Jennings Jr. signed his athletic scholarship letter to play football for Concordia University-Ann Arbor. Jennings is a student at Pioneer HS in Ann Arbor, MI. He is the son of Jessica Rhodes and Michael Jennings. He is the grandson of Aida Saldana and Howard Rhodes of Mercedes.
