The Mercedes Enterprise caught up with a number of RGVLS participant Rebeka Zuniga heading to the competition to show off her work with his animal. Here is what she had to say:

Q: What club are you a member of?

A: Rio Hondo FFA 

Q: What will you be presenting at RGVLS?

A: Commercial breeding Heifer. 

Q: What is your animal’s name?

A: Sassy

Q: What is your animal’s breed?

A: Red Brangus 

Q: What do you like most about RGVLS?

A: Showing my animal, the food and the week I get to spend with my friends. 

Q: Tell us your favorite memory presenting at RGVLS?

A: My very first show ! Mr Correa my AG teacher at the time made me feel very confident. 

Q: Who or what encouraged you to join FFA and compete at RGVLS?

A: My parents and grandparents. 

Q: What is your goal at RGVLS competition this year?

A: To place top 3. 

Q: What is it like for you when you when you come to participate at RGVLS?

A: It is fun I enjoy the time I spend with the different kids from other school getting to know people and relaxing with my animals 

Q: What would be your best advice to someone who wants compete at RGVLS?

A: Work hard !! 

Q: Tells what you did so far to prepare for this year’s RGVLS competition? 

A: Worked my heifers, showed at prospect shows , picked out my show clothes 

Q: What is the weirdest, or funniest thing your animal as ever done while you have been raising it? 

A: Funniest thing she has done is fart in the show arena 

Q: What is your go to food or snack at RGVLS? 

A: Funnel cakes 

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: I like a lot of different movies ! 

Q: What is your favorite game or carnival ride at RGVLS?

A: I don’t like the rides they are scary 

Q: What actor would play you in a Hollywood movie?

A: Michelle Rodriguez
