The Mercedes Enterprise caught up with a number of RGVLS participant Samantha Lopez heading to the competition to show off her work with his animal. Here is what she had to say:

Q: What club are you a member of?

A: FFA and Welding 

Q: What will you be presenting at RGVLS?

A: Commercial Heifer

Q: What is your animal’s name?

A: Patuna

Q: What is your animal’s breed?

A: Beefmaster 

Q: What do you like most about RGVLS?

A: Spending time with my heifer.

Q: Tell us your favorite memory presenting at RGVLS?

A: Being able to show my heifer with all my friends.

Q: Who or what encouraged you to join FFA and compete at RGVLS?

A: My FFA teacher Mr.Villarreal. 

Q: What is your goal at RGVLS competition this year?

A: Having fun with my heifer.

Q: What would be your best advice to someone who wants compete at RGVLS?

A: Just do it you wont regret it!!

Q: Tells what you did so far to prepare for this year’s RGVLS competition? 

A: A lot of practice. 

Q: What is the weirdest, or funniest thing your animal as ever done while you have been raising it? 

A: Getting stepped on and getting dragged. 

Q: What is your go to food or snack at RGVLS? 

A: Tacos 

Q: What is your favorite game or carnival ride at RGVLS?

A: Ferris Wheel
