Valdivia inducted into Hall of Fame

Grandmaster John Valdivia was recently inducted into the South Texas Black Belt Association Hall of Fame. Valdivia is credited to have brought the Kajukenbo Wildcat Martial Arts fighting style to Mercedes in the early 70s and began teaching karate until he passed away of cancer in 2008.

Valdivia’s karate legacy is led by his student Grandmaster Armando Saldana, Kajukenbo Association of America’s Texas State Representative.
