A Groundbreaking Ceremony to kick off the renovation project for the Mercedes Police Department was held recently. The complex will consist of a new TPO roofing system, renovated walls, all new HVAC units, plumbing, up to code electrical installations, new lighting and ceilings and more. Construction is estimated to be completed in late 2023. Currently, operations are across the city in the Public Works Department. The new building will provide the original centralized location, easier access for residents, and be of great service to the community.
