The Keynote Speaker for the Annual Mercedes Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet  is Janet Vackar, Owner of Bert Ogden Auto Group.  The banquet is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13, 2019.  The banquet will take place at the Francis Cooper Event Center at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Grounds.  The event is set to start with a social time at 6:30 p.m.  with the  program and presentations to start  at 7 pm.  

Receiving  the Woman of the Year Award is Rita Badillo,  Man of the Year is Mario Dominguez Jr. and Lifetime Service Award will be presented to Buddy Ross.  Receiving recognition as Business of the Year is Ashley Nicole Photography,  for the Arts is Luis Garcia,  Civic Contribution  will be the Mercedes Lion’s Club and a Memorial Educator Award  for Mauro Vasquez.
